Installing the satellite dish yourself: in this case there is nothing complicated
If you purchased a satellite dish, you immediatelyask yourself how to install it. Of course, you can invite specialists for this. But is this a rational decision? Installing a satellite dish yourself is quite real and not at all difficult. The first thing to do in this case is to determine the place where your antenna will be located. This will help you with these tips:
- An open survey is required on the satellite. Between the antenna and the satellite should not be obstacles (windows, balcony peaks, etc.)
- All satellites are located in the south-west and south-east direction. It is desirable to check the direction of the compass.
- The antenna should be in an easily accessible place for you, but inaccessible to other places.
After this, it should start directlyinstallation of a satellite dish yourself. To begin with, it is necessary to mount the wall mount strictly 90 °. Make sure that the fastening pin is straight, without tilting. If the installation site was chosen as a balcony, then the fence is drilled through, and the support is fastened with long bolts that have a large diameter. In a situation where the installation of a satellite dish with their own hands will occur on the wall, self-eroding anchor bolts will fit.
Antenna collection and stripping
When the fastener is installed, you should proceedcollecting the antenna (strictly following the instructions!). Take care not to damage the parabolic glass. This can adversely affect the signal level. Also, pay attention to the correct position of the multifids and converters. The installation of the satellite dish itself must be accompanied by a cleaning of the cables. After stripping the upper layer of the wire, you can see a screen consisting of a large number of elements - they should be bent to the cable.Under this screen there will be another, consisting offoil. It should be carefully trimmed. After that, it remains to clear the lower layer of protection and find the core of the cable. It should be cleaned carefully from the enamel (you can use a conventional knife), and then put it on the F-connector (you will find it on the decake). Be careful - it is desirable that the core protrudes from the edge of the wire by 2-3 mm. The superfluous screen can be cut off. The cable can be considered ready. Now the independent installation of the satellite dish begins.
Now it's up to little - to install the system onprepared fastening. The fixing nuts should not be tightened to the end so that the antenna can later be turned. All work at height is risky. And if you decide to install the antenna yourself, then you need to use personal protective equipment (cables, mounting belts). This completes the installation of the satellite dish. As you can see, this is not so difficult. The main thing is to do everything thoroughly and accurately. I do not think that later you will want to alter anything.
